Recruiting Future Leaders: The Piton Fellowship Youth Cohort’s Scholarship Opportunity

In the diverse changing world we live in today, we need leaders to bring positivity into a world where unification is abating. The Piton Fellowship Youth Cohort is a paid summer program for “aspiring social change makers” ages 14-20.

Applying for the program brings about several rewarding benefits.

  • $2,500 compensation for completing the program successfully
  • Professional and social capital connections for the present and future
  • Constantly bringing cutting-edge ideas and services to the Denver community
  • Developing a leader’s mindset
  • Connecting with peers, new and old
  • Have a chance to talk to locals and experts on multiple topics

This summer program, lasting a vigorous 20-25 hours a week from June 11th to August 1st, is an exciting program unifying the youth and their communities stronger together. Alumni such as Saijel Burkett and Javan Lubanga praise the program and their effective campaigns.

The program is the perfect place to connect to your racial and personal identities. Colorado’s youth would learn once-in-a-lifetime exposures to the real world and how to be the best you. Previous projects the cohort has participated in are courses on home economics, career pathways, and financial literacy, personal and insightful dialogues about students’ futures, and learning skills past the classroom.

Not only is the organization an incredible place to gain pragmatic skills for the future, but it is also a safe place to be yourself and truly maximize the resources the program offers. The Piton Fellowship Youth Cohort allows individuals to be in tune with every aspect of their identities and their mental health. The establishment promotes peer support groups and mental health services within the youth and advocates for the support and inclusivity of youth mental health initiatives.

2023’s impressive list of alumni and their pursuits after the program:

  • Milani Cook: Student at Flordia International University
  • Saijel Burkett: Finance student at NYU Stern School of Business
  • Meron Dawit: Mayor’s Youth Commissioner for the City and County of Denver
  • Abeneazer Getachew: Student at University of Colorado Boulder
  • Daggim Desta: Student at University of Colorado Boulder

However, if the Youth Cohort isn’t for you, Gary Community Ventures offers an Early Career Cohort and Mid-career Cohort. Both teach the importance of opportunities and entertaining a productive life as a worker while containing just as many advantageous benefits and programs fit for each student.

The announcement of Youth Self-sufficiency Group 2 in July 2022.

Sam and Nancy Gary, the founders of Gary Community Ventures wanted to promote and encourage venturing into the unknown and servicing those in need, including yourself. Join the Gary Community Ventures Community to deliver righteousness to your city, community, and world.
