On July 19th, the single ‘Clover’ by Don Shin, a second generation Korean American from Colorado was released on YouTube and major online platforms in the global music market. As the song was dropped on July 19th, Don’s new track ‘Clover’ has been gaining worldwide attention and his fans love it.
“This music video is about a young man discovering an attractive woman and believing he can be her good luck charm,” said his manager Tami Knapp Smith during an interview with Colorado Times. Don Shin’s first single ‘Clover’ has a cheerful and electronic beat that echoes very well with Don Shin’s excellent vocal. The hook and chorus of the song is very catchy and addictive as well.
“I joined a choir after my violin broke down during middle school years. After that, I started to realize that my voice could be an instrument,” Don said. He said that he wanted to spread his motto in music, “Break down hate and build up love,” and that he is very happy and excited to release his first single with Nova Talent International.
Just minutes after the interview, it was not difficult to see that he is a young artist who is serious about his music and believes in the power of song which brings people together. “My parents are my inspiration. They came to America when they had no knowledge of how to speak English but they always spread positive vibe within the community and try to help others. That is what I would like to do with my music.”
“We are receiving positive reactions and feedbacks from all over the world. Don is getting love calls from DJs not only in the U.S. but also around the world in the EDM and House Music markets although we have released his single under K-pop genre,” said Tami, hinting at her strong trust in Shin.
At the beginning, Don was found by an independent scout and vocal coach from Denver, and reportedly met his current manager Tami Knapp Smith while visiting Las Vegas for his performance. “We met about four years ago at the Pink Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. I was performing on the stage, and Tami found me and signed with Nova Talent International the following year,” Don said. As for his teamwork with his manager Tami, he said “We inspire each other. She is a great manager and very passionate about music. She also produced my first single ‘Clover’.”
Artist Shin is a second son of Dong-Yoon Shin and Kyung-Hwa Lee who lives in Colorado. According to his family, Shin has been talented in music ever since he was young and has been steadily chasing after his dream to become a singer. He also plays various musical instruments such as guitar, bass, and drum in addition to the violin. In addition to his career as a music artist, he will also work with Nova Talent International to build up his career as a model and actor.
