Arrives in Denver with a Successful Soft Opening, Poised to Become a New K-Food Hotspot

On September 6th, “Hangang Ramen” (Owner: Hyekyung Seok, 2281 S Peoria St, Aurora, CO 80014) held a soft opening at its location in the northwest mall area of Iliff and Peoria, quickly emerging as a new K-food destination in Denver. Hyekyung Seok, who has successfully managed the Denver branch of “Cuckoo Rental America,” discovered the potential of “Hangang Ramen” by chance and felt confident that bringing it to Denver would be met with a positive reception.

“Hangang Ramen” is a unique restaurant concept offering a variety of ramen dishes using a convenient instant food cooker, inspired by the popular “Hangang Park” ramen in Korea. The ramen cooker, which combines an electric stove and a water dispenser, allows customers to easily cook different types of ramen. According to Namuwiki, “Hangang Ramen” originated from this cooking device that first gained popularity at convenience stores in Hangang Park, Seoul.

The process for ordering and cooking ramen is simple and straightforward. Customers select from various ramen options displayed, make their purchase, and place the ramen in a designated container. They then press the appropriate button on the cooker, which automatically dispenses the correct amount of water, and within 3-4 minutes, the ramen is cooked to perfection. Beside the ramen stand, a wide range of toppings is available, including eggs, green onions, onions, bean sprouts, pickled radish, kimchi, cheese, corn, fish cake, dumplings, and rice cake slices, allowing customers to customize their ramen to their liking. Additionally, the freezer section offers various Korean ice creams, coffee, and frozen kimbap, providing delicious snacks and desserts to complement the ramen experience.

The pricing is set at $6.99 for regular ramen and $7.99 for premium ramen, offering both value and enjoyment at an affordable price. On its soft opening day, the restaurant was bustling with students eager to experience the new K-food style of “Hangang Ramen.” The event featured an exciting K-pop dance performance by the Kconnect team from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., which drew significant attention. Local restaurant experts and influencers also visited to taste the unique K-ramen and capture photos, generating further interest.

“Hangang Ramen” is set to establish itself as a new K-food hotspot in Denver, with the grand opening scheduled for Friday, September 12th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring another K-pop dance performance. To celebrate the opening, a 20% discount on all ramen dishes will be available throughout September. Owner Hyekyung Seok invites everyone to join the celebration.

As “Hangang Ramen” rises as a new must-visit spot in Denver, much anticipation surrounds how it will continue to resonate with the community.By: Bahnya Kim
