Come and Join Colorado Kpopper’s Newest Events at the Snowl Cafe in Parker!
Last year, the Colorado Times had a special opportunity to encounter Sage Sharkey, the creator of The Colorado Kpopper at the Ju’s Coffee in Parker. Sage and her partner Ray were celebrating the 5th year anniversary of BLACKPINK by hosting an event that distributes various K-pop stars’ merchandises such as cup sleeves, stickers and freebie photocards with a purchase of a drink. Many K-pop fans across Colorado visited their booth to share their stories about becoing a K-pop fan as well as newest updates about their favorite stars.
Recently, Sage reached out again to Colorado Times to spread the words about her upcoming Kpopper events which are scheduled to be held at the 2nd location of the Snowl Cafe (5612 S. Parker Rd, Aurora, CO 80015). Colorado Kpopper works to support small businesses and bring together K-Pop lovers across Colorado to build friendships and create everlasting memories across the state. Each and every event of Kpopper goes beyond the celebration for certain K-pop stars, with proceeds going to a multitude of great causes and local non-profit organizations.
Sage loves hosting K-pop events at local spots and supporting small businesses in Colorado. Being a big fan of BTS, Stray Kids, and other big groups in K-pop, she also loves Eric Nam and attended his latest concert that took place in Denver on February as well as. Not only that, she tries her best to pair each of her event hosted with a fundraiser to help raise money and awareness for great causes. Last year alone, The Colorado Kpopper raised $6,025 both online and in-person to be donated to various charities like the AFSP, Golden Lotus Foundation, One Tree Planted, and more.

[Rachel, Colorado Times] Hello, it is really great to hear from you again! Can you please briefly introduce your upcoming K-pop events which are scheduled to be held on May 28th and June 11th?
[Sage, The Colorado Kpopper] Sure!
Seventeen Day(7 Years with Seventeen, May 28th) is celebrating seven years with the 13 member boy group Seventeen. Following the theme of their Music Video, Darling, we will be giving out a floral themed cupsleeve and 2 freebie photocards with the purchase of a drink. There will also be three vendors there selling a variety of Seventeen fan merchandises as well as some other group merchandises mixed in.
Merch includes apparel, stickers, keychains, and more. We will be collecting donations for the Wildlife Sanctuary here in Colorado to help go to the care of a tiger that in previous years was “adopted” in the name of a member of the group. We will also be raffling off a special raffle basket of Seventeen goodies as well as have a featured drink for the event! My co-hosts are Chloe and Trista who are big fans of the group as well as dear friends of mine that wanted to come together to celebrate the group. We chose Snowl’s second location because it is larger and has a great atmosphere that we feel would fit the theme perfectly.
BTS Day(9 Years with BTS, June 11th) is one of our largest events, and this year we are celebrating 9 years with the group. @Bananajintrades, also known as Ivy, has helped me co-host BTS events since 2021 and she is a fan with a passion! To celebrate we are taking a trip through their 9 years of music with a throwback style event with decore recalling all their current and past music videos. Participants will recieve one cupsleeve, a photostrip, and a set of PCS with a purchase of a drink. For Donation, we are collecting donations for One Tree Planted – an organization that plants 1 tree for every $1 donated. We will also have 5 Vendors at this event! Selling items like apparel, cups, stickers, artwork, and more! There will also be a special featured drink for this event!
