만물의 근원이신 하나님,
존재의 본질이시며, 우주의 시작과 끝을 품으신 주님, 모든 것을 창조하시고 섭리하시는 그 깊은 지혜와 사랑 안에 우리의 존재를 두시니 감사합니다. 인간의 유한한 삶과 우주의 무한한 질서를 조화롭게 엮어내시는 주님께 우리의 찬양과 감사를 올립니다.
“주께서 만드신 모든 것이 주를 찬송하며 주의 성도들이 주를 송축하리이다”(시편 145:10).
주님, 저희는 우주라는 거대한 질서 속의 작은 점에 불과하지만, 그 점을 사랑하시고 돌보시는 주님의 은혜에 경탄합니다. 별빛이 어두운 하늘을 가르고, 바람이 나뭇잎을 흔드는 순간에도 주님의 손길을 느낍니다. 인간 존재의 연약함 속에 주님의 형상을 심으시고, 그 형상이 주님의 사랑으로 온전히 꽃피게 하시는 은혜를 찬양합니다.
“주의 이름이 온 땅에 어찌 그리 아름다운지요!”(시편 8:1).
주님, 삶의 여정 속에서 경험한 고난과 기쁨, 침묵과 환희의 순간들 속에 주님의 섭리가 담겨 있음을 고백합니다. 시간의 굽이마다 주님의 은혜가 스며들었고, 그 은혜가 우리의 길을 이끌어 주셨습니다. 특별히 올해, 불확실성과 도전 가운데에서도 저희를 붙드시고 일으키셨음을 기억합니다.
“네 시작은 미약하였으나 네 나중은 심히 창대하리라”(욥기 8:7) 하신 약속처럼, 주님은 모든 일을 선하게 이루어 가심을 믿고 감사드립니다.
주님, 우리의 지나온 날들에 ‘에벤에셀’이라 외치게 하셨고, 앞으로 다가올 날들에도 ‘임마누엘’의 약속을 붙들게 하심에 감사합니다. 역사의 주관자이신 주님께서는 과거의 모든 경험을 통해 오늘을 준비시키셨고, 미래의 희망을 심어주셨습니다. 그 미지의 내일 속에서도 주님의 손길이 저희를 붙들어 주실 줄 믿습니다.
“내가 너를 떠나지 아니하며 버리지 아니하리라”(히브리서 13:5) 하신 말씀을 의지합니다.
주님, 존재의 모든 층위에서 저희의 숨결 하나하나, 매일 열리는 아침과 평안히 닫히는 밤의 문까지도 주님의 선물이었음을 깨닫습니다. 주님은 저희의 필요를 아시고, 그 순간마다 주님의 선한 계획을 이루셨습니다. 인간의 한계를 넘어서는 초월적 사랑과 인간 안에 깃든 내재적 은혜를 모두 허락하심에 경배합니다.
“내 영혼아 여호와를 송축하라 그의 모든 은택을 잊지 말지어다”(시편 103:2).
온 우주를 주관하시는 주님, 저희의 작은 감사와 찬양을 기쁘게 받으시는 은혜에 감사합니다. 저희가 주님의 거룩한 뜻을 이루는 통로가 되기를 원합니다. 주님의 영광을 위하여, 감사로 가득 찬 삶을 살아가게 하옵소서. 주님의 섭리와 사랑을 믿으며, 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
A Prayer for Thanksgiving 2024
God, the Source of All Creation,
The essence of existence and the One who holds the beginning and the end of the universe, we thank You for placing our lives within Your profound wisdom and love that created and sustains all things. We lift our praise and gratitude to You, who harmonizes the finitude of human life with the infinity of the cosmos.
“All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you” (Psalm 145:10).
Lord, though we are but a small speck within the grand order of the universe,
We marvel at Your grace, which cherishes and cares for us. In the starlight piercing the dark sky, in the rustling leaves stirred by the wind, we sense Your hand. You have placed Your image within our fragile human existence and nurtured it to bloom fully through Your love.
“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” (Psalm 8:1).
Lord, as we reflect on the journey of life,
We confess that Your providence has been woven into every moment of hardship and joy, silence and jubilation. In every curve of time, Your grace has seeped in and guided our path. Especially this year, even amidst uncertainty and challenges, You have upheld us and lifted us up.
“Though your beginnings were modest, your latter days will flourish” (Job 8:7). We trust and thank You for working all things for good.
Lord, You have made us proclaim ‘Ebenezer’ over the days gone by
And hold on to the promise of ‘Immanuel’ for the days yet to come. As the Sovereign over history, You have prepared us through past experiences and planted hope for the future. Even in the unknown days ahead, we trust that Your hand will uphold us.
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).
Lord, in every layer of existence,
From each breath we take to the morning light that greets us and the peaceful close of night, we recognize Your gifts. You have known our needs and fulfilled them, showing Your good plans in every moment. We worship You for the transcendent love that surpasses human limitations and the immanent grace planted within us.
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (Psalm 103:2).
Lord, who governs the entire universe,
We thank You for graciously accepting our small praises and gratitude. We long to be vessels for Your holy will. May we live lives filled with thanksgiving for Your glory. Trusting in Your providence and love, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
